Form and size: Tall cane like grass forming tufts to 2m high.
Distribution: Qld and NSW, on the coastal ranges.
This is an attractive grass commonly seen on creek banks and in shady forest.
The Latin seta (bristle) clearly defines the distinctive trait of the genus, seen in this species as a mauve halo
