Form and Size: A shrub to about 4m tall, sometimes
sparse.
Distribution: Eastern Qld., eastern N.S.W. and eastern Vic.; in
the margins of rainforests and along watercourses.
Leaves: Broadly egg-shaped, on a long stalk, green above, greyish
beneath, to 15cm x 10cm; turning red before falling.
Flowers: Green, tiny; borne on terminal racemes to 10cm
long.Flowering Period: September to December.
Fruit: Berry, egg-shaped, pale green, 2-lobed, about 0.8cm
long.
Cultivation/Notes: Propagate from fresh seed or cuttings. A fast
growing plant useful as a screen.
