Form and Size: A slender, tall tree fern to 12m high, with a woody
trunk to 20cm diameter.
Distribution: Moist forests from north-eastern Qld to Sydney,
N.S.W.
Fronds: Bi-pinnate, dull or shiny green above, paler beneath, to
4m x 1m.
Cultivation/Notes: Propagate from spore. A fast growing tree fern
which is popular in cultivation. Fairly hardy as long as the roots are kept moist.
