Form and Size: Bushy shrub or tree to 15m, layered form.
Distribution: Northern areas of Qld., N.T. and W.A.; in vine thickets or open woodland.
Leaves: Opposite, lance-shaped, glossy green above, pale beneath, to l8cm x 5cm; tapering to an elongated,
pointed tip.
Flowers: Whitish-cream, perfumed, to 1.5cm diameter, in clusters held on the upper side of branches.
Flowering Period: October to December.
Fruit: Bright red, globular, about 1cm diameter; several small seeds.
Cultivation/Notes: Propagate from fresh seed or cuttings. Will grow best in a protected position, but is a
fairly hardy plant.
